Chef Kenneth Kunz is a Philadelphia native, born and raised in the Mount Airy section of the city.
He started working in restaurants at the age of 15 continuing through his college years where he majored in Fine Art and psychology. After college Chef Kunz realized that the culinary arts were really his passion. He soon started a self-styled apprenticeship program, consistently working in kitchens where he could learn, and hone his craft. It was not long before he wound up working in some of Philadelphia’s finest establishments. By the late 1990’s Kenneth found himself working for George Perrier at both Le Bec Fin, and Brasserie Perrier where he worked his way up to the position of sous chef.
Chef Kunz helped open the Philadelphia Ritz Carlton before taking his first executive chef positions at La Boheme and La Terrace. He has further worked at such area notables as Blackfish, Ulivo, and Ella’s Bistro, where his pastry program was awarded best pastry menu on the Mainline.
We are incredibly pleased that he has now joined our “cast” as our executive chef, bringing with him his exemplary culinary skills and love of hospitality.
Chef Kunz still resides in the Mount Airy neighborhood he grew up in along with his wife and two children.
