We can't tell you just how incredibly excited we are that we won "Philadelphia Magazines 2017 – Best of Philly – Supper Club "!
Dino's Backstage and The Celebrity Room was a dream of ours for so many years before it became a reality one year ago. We longed for the days when people could get dressed up have dinner and see a show like they did decades ago. We talked about the decor, furniture, music, food -- even down to the kind of toilets we wanted.
Tori from CBS Philly came to Dino's for her famous "Taste with Tori" segment. It was a lot of fun doing this with Tori, and we're so glad that she "gets" it!
Let Philly have its buzzworthy, see-and-be-seen--in eateries. For some of us, the area’s coolest dining room is located some 12 miles north of City Hall, adjacent to Glenside’s beloved Keswick Theatre. That’s where Dino’s Backstage and The Celebrity Room has been recalling a far more “swellegant” era since last fall.
Michael Richard Kelly-Cataldi is a talented, charismatic multi-tasker who in 1994 opened the city’s first pet boutique, “…and Toto, too!®” which won a Philadelphia Magazine “Best of Philly®” award. He has also been the property manager of a condo building with 160 residential units and 20 commercial units in Philadelphia, and he has sold diamonds, high-end jewelry and homes.
Striding gracefully across plush zebra-striped carpeting, tuxedo-clad waiters balance serving trays filled with champagne, martini glasses and snifters. On a nearby stage, the suave bandleader snaps his fingers as his trio launches into “Fly Me to the Moon.” This isn’t a flashback to the Copacabana or the Latin Casino—it’s here and now at Dino’s Backstage, the stunningly glamorous restaurant, bar and cabaret located next door to the Keswick Theatre in Glenside.
